VIP Tickets FAQ
To get started with a VIP Ticket, follow these instructions:
- Go to your store's admin area.
- Click "Inventory" in the dashboard navigation.
- Click the "New Item" button on the top left.
- Click "VIP Tickets".
- This will bring up the show creator.
Complete the form and at the bottom, you'll see two sections: "Ticket Types" and "VIP Packages". You must have at least one Ticket Type, however you can click the gear icon on the right and make it only available for purchase through a VIP Package, if you'd like.
Each VIP Package you create must contain at least one of the Tickets you defined in the "Ticket Types" area above.
After filling out the form, click save.
How Does Inventory Work?
Inventory is based on two factors. One is the inventory of the individual bundled Ticket Type & Product Variations and the Sale Limit of the Packages you're willing to sell. For instance if you wanted to make a CD & General Admission Ticket Package. And you have 500 CDs and 100 Tickets, but you only want to sell a maximum of 25 Packages, you would put 25 under Sale Limit. Then the Package will sellout when you either run out of CDs, Tickets, or you hit the Sale Limit.
Do I need to Use "Sale Limit"?
No, if you don't put a Sale Limit in, inventory will default the Ticket Type & Product Variations you choose. This means the bundled item with the lowest inventory decides the total amount of Packages you could sell.
How do I Attach Digital To A Package?
Digital is inherited from bundled items. If it's attached to a ticket or product variation you've added to a Package, it will be available in the Package. Duplicate Digital items will stripped from the Package, so don't worry.
How Do I Set Up Digital Street Date on a Package?
Digital Street Date is inherited from Product Variations. Whatever you have the Street Date set for on the Variation, it will automatically be set for the Package.
How Many Different Packages Can I Do on a Single Show's Page?
As many as you want to.
How Does Cart Limit Work On Packages?
Cart Limiting is NOT inherited from bundled ticket type and variations added to the Package. You must set a new Cart Limit if you don't want more than a certain amount in your customer's cart, at the same time.
Do All The Variations in the Package Need to be Available Alone?
Each bundled variation's product must be set as "available". However, you can change it from visible and purchasable to hidden and only purchasable in bundles and VIP packages.
- Go into the Product Editor of the Bundled Variation.
- Find the "Available - Visible, Purchasable" option at the top of the Editor.
- Change it to "Available - Hidden, Purchasable in Bundles & VIP Packages".
- Click "Save".
Why Does The Number in the "Left" Column, in my Bundles Section, Go Down Even if a Package Doesn't Get Sold?
Ahhhh very good eye! The reason that number goes down is because it's dependent on the Ticket and Variations you include in the Package. Meaning if someone buys a variation on it's own, but it's also in a Package, your inventory could potentially go down.
